I have heard that some people have had difficulties opening my flier that I have posted on this blog so I thought I would post all the text that is on the flier.  It doesn't look as pretty but allows you to see the information :)...

A little about me...
Hi!  My name is Lisa Spence and I am the owner/operator of Little Blessings Daycare.  I am a loving Christian mother of 3 children, ages 8, 6, and 3.  Our family recently moved to Huntsville for my husband’s work, and I am very excited to be filling a need for quality daycare in our community.  I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home for my children, and would be privileged to welcome your ‘little blessings’ as well.  

I am a graduate of Lakehead University with a degree in Social Work and Gerontology.  After completing my Bachelor of Education (Primary/Junior) at Queen’s University, I invested over a decade teaching in both Ontario and BC schools.  In addition to teaching I have worked and volunteered in numerous roles with children and youth.      

Your children will be patiently nutured at Little Blessing Daycare.  I am thankful for a high level of energy and love that are vital when caring for children everyday.  I love pouring into children and thrive on the sparkle in their eyes as they grow and develop.  

Purpose
The mission of Little Blessings Home Daycare is to provide quality day time care to children ages 1 to 6 in a safe and nurturing environment.  

Give your children an educational advantage while in the care of "Mrs. Spence", who has over a decade of teaching experience in both Ontario and B.C. schools. 

Stories, songs, crafts and exercise will stimulate your child, while learning to work together as a team and developing personal responsibility. 

Homemade healthy lunches and snacks included. In order to provide the best quality care, spaces are limited to 4 children.

Rates

Full Day Rates~$35 per day

Full day rates include 9.5 hours of care from 7:30-5:00pm, Monday to Friday.  A full day rate includes one meal and two snacks for children eating solid food.  I can be somewhat flexible in my hours, depending on the need as agreed upon in advance.   If you need to go over the 9.5 hours of care I charge $5 per half hour over and above that time.        

Half day rates~$25 per day

Half day rates are based upon any care that is 5 hours or less.  Meals and snacks will be provided for children based upon the timing of them being in my care.    

Before and After School Rates: 

Before School Rate  $6.50
After School Rate $10.50
My house is a 1 minute walk from school bus routes for Riverside Public School and Saint Mary Catholic School.  Before/After School care is available for children ages JK-12 years of age.

7:30am – Open, sensory, free play

8:00am –outside play time/walk/park

9:00am-Circle time

9:30am – Table top toys (play dough, puzzles, file folder games, etc.)/

Bathroom & Diapers

10:00am – Snack time

10:30am – Crafts

11:00am – Free play, lunch preparation

11:30pm – Lunch

12:00pm – Story time

12:30pm – Sleep/Quiet time

2:45 – Bathroom & diapers

3:00pm – Outside play/Free play (depending on the weather)

4:00pm – Snack time

4:15pm – Craft and sensory activities

4:45pm – Table top toys (play dough, puzzles, file folder games, etc.)

5:15pm – Songs and Stories

5:30pm – Closing time

**Please note this schedule is a general outline of our activities and could change as there will be days that we will be going on field trips, etc.**

Curriculum

Being that my training is in teaching, at Little Blessings Daycare I want to ensure that the children ages 2 1/2 to 5  in my care are properly prepared for entering Kindergarten. Kindergarten readiness skills include pre-writing skills, fine motor activities, gross motor games, song and dance, etc. As you will see in the Little Blessings daily schedule I include a circle time with the children to enrich their learning.  Durning these times I will be covering months of the year, days of the week, weather, as well as other related curriculum.  The curriculum I will present will include the entire ABC's, numbers 1-20, standard colours, standard shapes, and standard themes such as seasons, apples in September, pumpkins in October, leaves in November, etc. This curriculum will be hands on and multi sensory. It will include songs, dance, crafts, activities, cooking projects, games, and worksheets. If you would like more information about this curriculum or a sample of the curriculum that will be covered, please don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome To Little Blessings Daycare
